Amsterdam Hotels - The Perfect Place for a Vacation

Amsterdam is a city of many fairly tales. It is a city known for its famous red light district, canals, cycling, customer friendly Amsterdam hotels, national parks and enjoyable snow adventures. For as long as I can remember it is the city I have cherished and longed to witness its breathtaking sceneries. When I found I had a holiday break in April, I decided to book my stay in one of the leading Amsterdam hotels. I planned my holiday during the end of April to coincide with the Queen’s celebrations. The first activity I did was to learn as much as I could about Netherlands including its geographical settings.

Netherlands borders Germany in the East and Belgium in the South and its capital city is bustling Amsterdam. The next activity I did after choosing the Amsterdam hotels to reside in was to plan the schedule of my activities because I wanted to enjoy everything about Amsterdam. The first plan was to enjoy the cycling along Herengracht canal which can be done during the day or night. I took a guided tour along the city’s friendly streets and during the night I enjoyed the scenes of illuminated bridges. I then retired to the Amsterdam hotels where I planned for the next day while admiring the photos of that day.My second plan was to take the Tram 5, which I did on my second day. I took a train ride to the Tram 5 booking station, which is available from almost all Amsterdam hotels. The journey was thrilling and full of fun as I watched the Royal Palace, Dam Square, Museum Quarter, Leidseplein Square, and up market, Zuid Square while sitting on an armchair. The next activity was to enjoy the Amsterdam’s canals and I started by renting a Dutch style pedal at the central station. It is, however, possible to travel via public transport from all Amsterdam hotels, by train or a cab.I peddled along Westerkerk Church all the way to Rijksmuseum at the Museum Quarter. From the Museum Quarter there is public transport, canal or train transport that takes visitors back to their Amsterdam hotels. I decided to take a train for a fast ride to my hotel room. The other activity I did was to enjoy the bus top vistas and take the shots of Amsterdam sceneries including the famous Amsterdam hotels from the rooftop.

The ride on the transparent rooftop of the tourist bus passed through Damarak, Jewish Quarter, and Jordan Square. The other activity that I had dreamed to be involved in is the famous Queen celebrations and its impact on Amsterdam hotels nightlife. During the day, as I walked along the Jordan and Waterloopplein, I decided to buy some presents. I bought beautiful vintage clothes at a bargain for my long time friend and toys for my brother’s kids in addition to enjoying orange parades on the streets. On the Queen’s night, that is the night before queen’s celebrations, I enjoyed fireworks and parties held in different Amsterdam hotels. On Queen’s celebrations night, I took a brief break from Amsterdam hotels and I decided to enjoy the outdoor concerts along Damarak before going back to Amsterdam hotels for a late night dance.
